it's pretty safe to say that there was something wrong with sigmund freud. was he actually doing cocaine? and if so, are we sure that's the only drug he's on? because it would explain a lot. i can't fathom how a normal, sane person would relate everything to sex without some sort of reasoning behind it. although perhaps he's just a sex addict. who knows. although i do think there is some truth to his id/ego/superego iceberg. it makes sense to me, anyway. to think that our brain functions only on a conscious and unconscious level seems almost ridiculous. the whole preconscious thing is possible.
if you put it on only two levels, that means anything in our unconscious cannot be brought to our conscious. that doesn't seem plausible, now does it? with a preconscious, thoughts may be hiding out in our unconscious but they are not repressed and can later be recalled and brought into our conscious. i don't know, maybe i'm siding with freud here. but you can't tell me that doesn't make at least a little bit of sense. there are things you think but aren't always on your mind - therefore they'd be in your preconscious.
and even if i do side with freud on that, i still think he's a bit insane when it comes to everything else. if everything we did was truly related to sex, our would would be much different.
Our world is truly related to sex. . .look around. Little girls are now dressing like sluts with words on the butt of their pants to entice the male persuasion of any age. Equality in marriage rights and who you have sex with is in the news all the time. Child molesters, just this month secret files have been released concerning the TRAGIC cover-up of child abuse in the Boy Scouts of America since 1970!!! Human trafficking is at an all time high. Children are sold and traded daily for drug favors. I could go on all day!!! Freud is right, we are a society motivated by SEX!!!
