Yep, bringing back the memory quotes because I love that book. Anyway, it's still pretty mind-blowing to me that we can create memories that have never even happened, just by hearing something that someone said to us. It really makes you wonder just how many things you remember are those that you've just created, and what memories are actually real. It's also pretty odd that we can alter our own memories as time goes by, and some things you supposedly remember didn't happen, but were just something you thought had happened. I really wish I had an eidetic memory. I feel as though life would be so much easier with one. For one, school would be beyond easy. You could virtually get any college degree, too. Just look at Spencer Reid off Criminal Minds. He's a genius. Of course, I'm sure those types of memories are extremely rare.
"Memory is a tenuous thing, like a rainbow's end or a camera with a failing lens. Sometimes my focus is sharp, every detail clear as the splashes of ice, fringing the eaves; other times it is a hazy field of frost, like the meadow outside my window." - Ellen Hopkins, Impulse.
