I don't even see the point in testing on animals. They say we have a lot of similarities but just because one thing works on an animal does not mean it'll do the same thing to us. I feel animal testing is immoral because they cannot agree to it. Just go ask any sick human if they want to be subject to something that could potentially help them. I guarantee most of them will say yes. If it doesn't help them, what do they have to lose? Nothing, really. All they would have to do is sign an agreement and be the ones tested on. It's probably easier said than done, but animal testing under any circumstance is not okay with me. Especially because sometimes you won't know if they're actually in pain. Humans, in my opinion, would be a more effective way to see if a medication works.

2012.
My expectation for AP Psych is obviously to get a good grade. I did pretty well in Psych, so I can't imagine it would be too much more difficult. I'm mostly looking forward to the units we study mental disorders because I know quite a bit about those and they always interest me. I'm hoping the rest of the units we do are interesting or fun as well. I'm not taking the class to take the test at the end like most supposedly are. I don't even know if I want to take the test, because I'm not going to school for Psychology. I'm taking the class because a majority of the topic interests me.
One thing that stuck out to me in the reading was the paragraphs on animal testing. It reminded me of this image. You can clearly tell something is wrong with the mouse. Now, I'm not sure how anyone can justify animal testing. Scientists were saying how they try to minimize as little harm done to the animals as possible. But how do we know this is true? They can hide pretty much anything they want. They could completely lie to us and make us believe they are doing the best they can to ensure the animals are safe.
